Solutions Engineer

This position requires strong interpersonal skills, problem-solving abilities, and deep technical knowledge of the Naveego product offering. This person works closely with the sales team to provide sales engineering support, and is a customer facing member of the technical team providing customer support and training to customers and partners on how to install and use our technology.  Solutions Engineer also works with the development team to perform UAT as an important part of our release process.

The Solutions Engineer is based out of our Traverse City, MI office and may be remotely located.  This is an independent contracting position.

Key Tasks and Duties

  • Provide technical  support for customers
  • Manage technical side of customer relationships
  • Work with partners to integrate Naveego product offerings into partner offerings
  • Work with customers to install/integrate Naveego
  • Participate in pre-sale pitches to provide technical expertise to sales team
  • Conduct product testing for new releases
  • Gather customer feedback and provide to CTO to prioritize development
  • Manage resolution of customer service tickets in accordance with SLA
  • Required Skills / Experience
  • Eight (8) years of experience as solutions engineer
  • Successful track record of assessing, critical thinking, problem solving
  • Successful track record of providing technical support and training to customers
  • Successful track record of working with sales team to provide technical buy-in for customer decision-makers
  • Proven ability to train customers on technology and enable partner success with technology installation/integration for end user customers
  • Expertise with multi-tenant SaaS, B2B and information services solutions
  • Expertise with data security, cloud environment, scalability and high availability
  • Ability to understand Master Data Management, Hadoop
  • Ability to sell in a hybrid model to both end users in the F2000 and partners
  • Proven success working remotely (if remote applicant)
  • Ability to present to key decision makers successfully
  • Managing 10-20 sales opportunities concurrently with an organized approach
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience in an early stage startup with tangible results from past successes
  • Capable of creative problem solving approach
  • Passion for a career in business development, sales, and marketing of technology
  • Is motivated, self-driven, and resourceful 
  • Entrepreneurial spirit and a willingness to take on new tasks in a fast-paced setting
  • A team player that practices integrity
  • Office 365, Zendesk and Salesforce CRM competency


This position may require frequent travel.  Most travel is outside the local area and overnight.  Some of the travel may be international.
